Northern governors visit Saudi Arabia to seek help from the Islamic Development Bank

Some Northern governors in Nigeria have paid a visit to Saudi Arabia to meet with some Islamic Development Bank officials for plans on how they could help facilitate development in the region. The bank's president, Ahmad Ali and other top officials received them in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The meeting between the governors and the bank's top executives started today and will last till Tuesday Feb. 2nd.

The governors were led by Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, who is also the Chairman of the Northern States Governors ‘ Forum, NSGF. Governors Tanko Almakura of Nassarawa, Nasiru El-Rufai of Kaduna and Mohammed Abubakar of Jigawa are part of the delegation.
