PMB Recuperating Fast, Will Return Soon - Osinbajo

Osinbajo had on Tuesday left Nigeria for the United Kingdom where he met with Buhari who had on May 7 left the country for London on an indefinite medical vacation.

Speaking to State House correspondents shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting, the acting president stated that he had an extensive discussion with the president  on a wide range of issues for about an hour.

Asked to be specific on the state of health of President Buhari, Osinbajo replied: “Well, as I have said, he is in very high spirit; he is recuperating very well and we had very long conversation, we spoke for well over an hour and his humor is all there. He is doing well and he is recuperating fast”.

On when Buhari should be expected back in the country, the Acting President said: 

“I think very very shortly. Very shortly. I think we should really expect him back very shortly. Like I said he is recuperating very fast and he is doing very very well.

“Deadlines aren’t a very good thing but as I said he is recuperating fast; we are expecting him very shortly, much sooner than you will expect”.
