Mercy Chinwo's Shocking Financial Scandal: Manager in Custody Over $345K Allegations"
On Thursday, a Federal High Court in Lagos issued an arrest warrant for Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, the manager of Mercy Chinwo, a gospel singer.
Following the EFCC's exparte application for the manager's arrest, Justice Alexander Owoeye approved the order.
When the matter was called on Thursday, Bilikisu Buhari confirmed his appearance for the EFCC.
She then reminded the court of the EFCC's application under Section 35(1)(c) of the 1999 Constitution and Sections 35, 36, 37, 38, and 39 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act of 2015.
As a result, the lawyer filed an application seeking an order to issue an arrest warrant for the manager.
She stated that the warrant will require the manager to appear in court to answer for the crimes he allegedly committed.
Ms Buhari stated that if the commission could not arrest the manager, it would issue a public summons declaring him sought.
The court granted the application and deferred the matter until the manager's arraignment on January 24.

In an affidavit supporting the suit, the EFCC stated that it received a petition from Chinwo against the manager.
Michael Idoko, an investigator with the commission, testified in the affidavit.
According to the report, the gospel singer claimed that her manager got royalties from all of her internet platforms and events without disclosing them.
