The Sock in Our Stars
Hi we're SDFC or, as we sometimes lovingly call each other, Stupid Dumb F*****g C***s. This is our first short film we made on our iPhones for the 48 hour film fest. Its about a woman who fell in love with a sock puppet. We won audience choice.

Here's our short film. We'd love to hear what you think. https://youtube.com/watch?v=CuXO_KmRT6c
We all met two years ago to the month while taking improv classes (shut up). Somewhere along the way we decided that we'd all give each other unconditional support for the side projects we were passionate about. It's helped us a lot.
We've all never really performed together on stage or made anything as an entire group (until very recently anyways). We mostly venture out independently or in groups of two or three and find projects we're passionate about working on. We then come back and share what we've learned. Some of us are actors, some are writers, some are taking a stab at directing and editing. All of us love comedy and creating.
King George Productions is the first "official" move towards anything resembling us consistently working on projects together. We recently entered into the 48 Hour Film Fest here in Atlanta to make our very first short film. We were assigned a genre (we got romance), a specific line of dialogue ("where did you hear that?"), a random prop to use (a bowl?!) and we were sent on our way to make a short film (4-7 minutes) in 2 days. Yikes.
We don't have any expensive equipment or special effects software yet. We didn't have a big set crew... All we had was our small friend group, a phone and basic editing software (iMovie, heh). Also, Taco Bell. Lots and lots of Taco Bell.
The end result was "The Sock in Our Stars". We really love this little film we made and we think you may enjoy it too.
Last night we won audience choice for our group! We went up against a lot of amazing films by a bunch of talented film makers. It's a small victory but we're all so excited about the recognition and about what our next project might be.
