Mother Using 12-year-old Daughter as Sex Worker Arrested

Amother have been using her 12-year-old daughter for sex trafficking. Three men who were paying her (mother) to sexually abuse her daughter were arrested by men of the Cross River Police Command.

Reports say the 78-year-old mother, Mrs. Udoaka Sunday who is said to be poor makes money on a daily basis by forcing her daughter to offer sexual services to a retired 78-year-old soldier, Effiom Okon, and four other men.

According to neighbour who pleaded anonymity; “That woman is really insane; she is the biological mother of the girl. How can any sane mother allow men to abuse her daughter because she is poor? There is no excuse for the act apart from insanity.

Reports say the mother of the girl and three other suspects were arrested after the girl summoned the courage to report the matter to her teacher who in turn tabled the case before a child rights foundation which reported the matter to the police.

Confirming the incident, Irene Ubgo, the Cross Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, revealed that the suspects are now helping the police with more information about their acts.

The PPRO said: “A woman, Udoaka Sunday, and three men, including 78-year-old, Effiom Okon, are now in our custody and investigation is ongoing to get to the root of the matter.”
