Singer Mercy Chinwo Speaks Out on Alleged Threats from Former Manager
Award-winning gospel singer Mercy Chinwo Blessed accused her former manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as Eezeetee, of threatening to ruin her in a recent video posted on her Instagram page.

She stated in the video that Eezeetee made the state intolerable for her, forcing her to move to Port Harcourt. She disclosed that she experienced threats and bullying.

Mercy Chinwo went on to explain that he was the one who filed a lawsuit against her and gospel singer Minister Judikay, despite Eezeetee's assertion that she forced him to appear in court.

She accused her previous manager of tormenting her and threatening her life, and of using his contacts to deal with her.

Mercy Chinwo claimed in the video that their problems started when Eezeetee tried to get her to sign a 12-year contract, but she refused.

She also asserted that Mr. Onyedikachukwu was further inspired to agitate her by his animosity for well-known gospel musician Nathaniel Bassey and well-liked Pastor Jerry Eze, to the extent of funding false information on the son's paternity.

She recently accused her former manager of diverting her royalties totaling more than 600,000 USD, which brought the conflicts between the two parties into the public eye.

Eezeetee has insisted that the case be heard in an arbitration court while claiming his innocence.

Mercy Chinwo posted a long caption in the Instagram video, expressing her deep regret about the circumstances.

"I can't even begin to describe the despair that consumes me every single day. I can't take this burden any longer. People depict me as someone I am not, call me derogatory names, and make unfair accusations. Despite my dissatisfaction, they claim that I broke the contract, but I never did. People call me something I'll never be.

However, I am aware of the reality and that my God is all-seeing. He must come for my sake because He is the God of justice!

The Lord is a vindictive God. Shine, O God of vengeance. Judge of the earth, get up and give the arrogant what they are due.

The conflict between the two sides is only one of many in the label vs. artist battle that rages throughout the Nigerian music industry, affecting even the gospel sector.
