He said this while the People's Democratic Party's National Reconciliation Committee met with North East governors and other important Bauchi stakeholders. The interim PDP National Chairman and the governors of Taraba and Bauchi were present during the meeting.
"Nigeria is bleeding, we are suffering, there is too much anger, and the economic policy is not working," Fintiri said, expressing dissatisfaction with the country's economic situation. For this reason, we consistently urge the Federal Government to reevaluate some economic policies that are solely harming Nigerians.

He further underlined that since being in a position of authority is a gift from God, the nation must be run on the basis of accountability and trust.
"Whatever will make us cry must not be part of your policy because the country belongs to us," the governor added, urging the Federal Government to concentrate on policies that do not cause Nigerians any more suffering. "It is not the property of the World Bank, IMF, or the global community," he declared.
Fintiri promised that the three North-East governors will cooperate to fortify the PDP in the area during his speech on party unity.

The governor also emphasized the value of regional cooperation, which he says helped the party win in every state in the area in the most recent presidential election.
"The PDP did not lose any states in the zone. He stated, "Even though we know we did not lose that election in Borno, we are still wondering how we lost that one up to this point."

Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the chairman of the National Reconciliation Committee, acknowledged the reasons behind the party's defeat in the most recent election during the meeting.
He cited party division as a major contributing factor and reaffirmed the committee's will to deal with these problems.
"We are here to engage with our leadership and members of our great party in order to talk about the areas where we are not meeting our obligations, which resulted in the results we saw," Oyinlola stated.
