Following reports of his same-sex wedding in the US, Jimmy Adekoya, a former campus pastor and head of Olabisi Onabanjo University's (OOU) Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF), has stirred up controversy on social media.
Prior to graduation from the OOU in 2019, Mr. Adekoya was the president of RCF, the music director, and a preacher.
On Friday night, pictures of Mr. Adekoya, who graduated from the University of Hertford with a Master's degree in Medical Microbiology, and his homosexual spouse, Seamus O'Donovan, appeared online.
The former RCF pastor noticed a change in appearance and braided his hair in the widely shared pictures.
He was seen holding hands, showing off their rings, and kissing his hairless spouse.

Analysis
On Valentine's Day, Mr. Adekoya, who worked as a front of house assistant at Nando's while pursuing his master's degree, wed Mr. O'Donovan.
He declared his marriage to Mr. O'Donovan on Wednesday on his Instagram page.
He captioned his partner's wedding pictures, "The beginning of forever."
He also disclosed on Instagram on Friday that he killed his partner.
"Séamus, I gave you the best gift I could ever give—my life—on this Valentine's Day," Mr. Adekoya wrote.
Mr. Adekoya, meanwhile, defended homosexuality on his Instagram Story, stating that it was not a sin.
