Kogi State senator Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had accused the Senate President of sexual harassment.

The legislator from Kogi further claimed that because she turned down Akpabio's sexual attempts, he prevented her motions from being heard on the Senate floor.

Because she turned down Akpabio's approaches, Akpoti-Uduaghan claimed that he prevented her motions from being heard on the red chamber floor.

The senate president's wife denied the allegation during a press conference in Abuja on Friday, characterizing her husband as a disciplined and cheerful individual who is frequently misunderstood.

She was at her family's house on the said date of December 8, 2023, thus the accusations are baseless.

The friendly friendship between the two families extends back before Senator Natasha and her husband were married.

"Many women were active in government in Akwa Ibom when he was a governor, but none of them ever said anything like this. The president of the Senate is a man of great responsibility and discipline.

"A man with that level of discipline could never consider inviting a woman to his house. Ekaette remarked, "He respects me and the kids a lot."

She threatened to take the issue to court and warned women to stop selling bogus accusations.
