Pilgrimages to holy land not rewardable to cheats – Nataro
A former governorship candidate in Kebbi state, Mallam Salihu Isa Nataro, has stated that the reward for embarking on pilgrimages to holy lands is only accruable to those who have neither stolen from the government coffers nor defrauded/cheated others during business transactions.

Nataro, an chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who said he was performing the holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia for the first time thanked God for the opportunity to pray for Nigeria as well as for President Bola Tinubu’s sound health to continue with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He spoke to our reporter on Sunday in a telephone conversation from  the Holy Land.

“Going to Hajj is acceptable with much reward if you did not steal government funds or defraud/cheat someone else during any business  transaction”, Nataro said.

Nataro further said he expected appointees of President Tinubu and APC members, irrespective of their camps, to keep in touch with their constituents with a view to enlightening them that the present administration met a parlous economy.

According to him, the previous governments “ran the country on foreign loans while others took loans to beautify cities instead of reforming education and introducing mechanised farming, an act which he said left people in hunger.

He advised President Tinubu to approach France, China, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirate to secure more investments to industrialise Nigeria based on the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Nataro expressed delight on the recent visit to Russia by the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, expressing the optimism the visit would impact on the country through transfered knowledge of building military hardwares instead of bringing finished products.

The audit expert noted that what Nigeria military needed were drones and not armoured carriers which he said had become obsolete in modern warfare and could be destroyed by drones from a long distance.

“That is why we need robots technology and drones to be designed, build and produced right from Nigeria Defence Academy if we really mean long term reform of our military institutions.

He stressed, “Nigeria must avoid buying finished goods that have GPS installed by their allies. We also need not to seek any seat at United Nations’ Security Council as the body is now irrelevant based on Israel/Palestinisns conflicts which shows the UN is no longer meaningful even in the near future”, Nataro said.
