PDP's Political Riddle: Wike's Advice to Ighodalo and Celebration of Okpebholo

Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has advised Asuerime Ighodalo, the PDP candidate in the most recent Edo State gubernatorial election, to accept the ruling of the appellate court on Thursday, which upheld the victory of Governor Monday Okpebholo in the September 21, 2024, gubernatorial election.
Ighodalo should "accept the judgment and allow the sleeping dogs" for the benefit of Edo State as a whole, according to PDP chieftain Wike.
Wike congratulated Governor Okpebholo on his confirmation and urged him to "remain focused and committed to good governance and provision of democracy dividends to the people," according to a statement released on Wednesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
