An interrogated woman who testified before his church, the Zion Ministry, for purchasing a N500 million mansion acknowledged that all she claimed was manufactured in a now-trending video.
While testifying to Ebuka in another video, the woman described how she progressed from owning N300,000 worth of merchandise in her store to purchasing a N500,000,000 property in Lagos State's Lekki neighborhood.
In the video, the woman testified, "Zion is the best, this is the last bus stop, and I have my evidence here."

"I predict that this is a mansion; are you making this up? Get up, assert yourself, and get your favor. Ebuka questioned the assembly, "Look at this mansion, built by a young lady, so what are you waiting for?"
SaharaReporters discovered, however, that the statement was fabricated in order to trick Nigerians and churchgoers into "planting seeds."
Additionally, it was reported that the woman was arrested by the owner of the house she claimed was hers for claiming his property.
The Nigeria Police Force apprehended blogger Mr. Chizorom Harrison Ofoegbu, also known as Ijele Speaks II, in March 2024 after he made accusations against evangelist Ebuka Obi, according to a March 2024 SaharaReporters story.

Ijele urged the police to arrest the pastor for converting his place of worship into a commercial venture in his widely shared article, calling him a liar and labeling all of his miracles as frauds.
He wrote: "Has our criminal code's 4(19) been repealed, @Lagos PoliceNG cc @BenHundeyin and our Ministry of Justice?
How long will Ebuka Obi, this criminal, be permitted to deceive people? Does he have legal immunity? That means that any criminal can wake up one day and say whatever he wants and be free because... Pastor?
And these are the individuals whose workplaces double as polling places. They will assist in manipulating elections for politicians who would then continue to favor them during their terms in office.

They will tell their sheep that God has taken away your glory, thus you must lose the next election cycle if you dare not give them part of the public cash."
Ijele was then invited to the Abuja police station in connection with a potential criminal intimidation, threat of death, cyberstalking, and cyberbullying case against the pastor.
"This office is investigating an alleged case of Criminal Intimidation, Threat to Life, Cyber Stalking, Cyber Bullying, Conduct Likely to Cause the Breach of Peace in which your name featured prominently," according to the petition letter that SaharaReporters was able to get.
