When Fashion Meets Fakes: The Ay Makun Hermes Controversy
Comedian AY Makun has come under fire from a Luxury detective page on Instagram for showing off a phony Hermes purse online.

AY Makun previously posted a picture of himself wearing a Hermes fancy bag on his Instagram.

However, the comedian was criticized for showing off a phony Hermes bag on the Instagram page of T20Luxury, a luxury website that posts items and costs of designer clothing from businesses.

According to the luxury page, AY Makun should avoid buying from those who manufacture fake goods.

The page shared a picture of AY Makun and the original Hermes bag, writing:

“As a key stakeholder in the entertainment industry and a beneficiary of genuine creativity, it is more honorary to refrain from supporting the counterfeit fashion industry. Upholding authenticity is important to preserving our reputation as leaders within the Black community.”
