Denied and Defiant: Sylvester Madu Addresses Selling Okrika Rumors

Shina Rambo, also known as Sylvester Madu, is a Nollywood actor who has denied selling okrika, or used clothing.

According to DoroTV, there were rumors that the actor was selling okrika after a 2023 viral video showed him selling clothing on the floor of an Enugu market.

Madu denied being an Okrika dealer in a recent interview with media personality Patience Yisa. He clarified that the clothing he was seen selling was not necessarily second-hand just because it was on the floor.

He said that his employees run several stores and that he imports brand-new clothing from the US.

He went on to say that because he detests inactivity, he chose to help with sales as well.

First of all, I don't sell okrika," Madu stated. Because they were on the floor, the clothing I was filmed selling may not have been okrika. I'm not an Okrika vendor. I sell and import from the United States.

"I have boys that sell for me, and I have several stores." I go to the field to sell alone; I don't do large man. There are many folks who sell for me. I own several stores. I keep an eye on my business. I've been in this industry for more than thirty years.
