VeryDarkMan – I’ll sponsor video shoot of Eedris Abdulkareem’s song banned by NBC
The video shoot for the new protest song "Tell Your Papa," which was just outlawed by the Nigerian government, will be sponsored by controversial campaigner VeryDarkMan.

According to DOROTV, the song was prohibited on Thursday by the Federal Government, via the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), on the grounds that it was insulting and unsuitable.

In a strange turn of events, the song, which had received little attention before the ban, gained a lot of attention as a result of it.

VDM responded by claiming that the singer's statements in the song were accurate and criticized the federal government for removing it from Nigerian radio and television.

He promised that he would help Abdulkareem redo the video.

"I went to Eedris Abdulkareem's page and saw the message NBC sent to him that they have banned his song, 'Tell Your Papa,' wherein he asked Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to tell his father that there is hardship in the country and people are dying," VeryDarkMan stated in a video message posted on his social media page.

Because they are aware that he is speaking the truth, the government does not want to hear it on the airwaves. Isn't the nation experiencing hardship? Isn't insecurity killing people?

"This is the next action we will take. To begin with, we have no idea what radio is. How many people watch TV or listen to the radio? Just so you know. Social media is going to take it over.

“Dear, Eedris Abdulkareem, we are going to shoot another video. We're going to sponsor it this time. The video will include me. Since we are unable to get the President to appear in the video, we will also search for a lookalike of Tinubu. The "Tell Your Papa 2" video will be remade. After that, we will additionally draw attention to more issues.

This [ban] is meant to convey that although these people are aware of what is happening in Nigeria, they choose not to take action. They then try to control the media when you speak in order to deny you a voice and keep it within their limits.
