The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reports that the truck driver's two hands were severely fractured. After being saved by LASTMA authorities, he was turned over to Elere Police officers and sent to General Hospital, Ile-Epo, for immediate medical attention.
LASTMA operatives cordoned off the scene, diverted traffic, and worked with the LASEMA Response Unit to clean the wreckage, restoring normal traffic flow.
Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, the general manager of LASTMA, expressed concern over the tragedy and advised drivers—particularly truck drivers—to be more careful during the rainy season. In order to avoid more accidents, he underlined how crucial it is to follow traffic safety regulations and obey recently imposed speed limiters.
Additionally, he wished the hurt driver a quick recovery.
