Based on her personal experience as a newlywed for more than a year, celebrity fashion designer and influencer Veekee James has counseled women on the value of maintaining sexual closeness in marriage.

Speaking to her sister-in-law and providing more general advice to married women, James emphasized the need of intimacy in a happy marriage.

She emphasized that even on days when fatigue makes it impossible, women should still try, even if only somewhat, to attend to their husbands' physical and emotional needs, emphasizing that doing so fosters intimacy and fortifies the marriage.

"I have at least a year and a half of marriage experience," she stated. Therefore, it's not a lie to refuse your husband sex. You may be too exhausted to move at times, and the last thing you want is for someone to touch you.
