Landing on a comet - Rosetta

The European Union landed a spacecraft on a comet moving at the speed of 35,000km per hour.

The spacecraft Philae took off from its mother ship, Rosetta, but failed to deploy so well. This made it land at a different site and at a shadow of a cliff or maybe a boulder.

The consequences being that Philae can't receive enough sunlight to make its battery stay up longer.

The team in charge therefore has uploaded commands that will make Philae start its drill to find out if Comets were actually responsible for bringing life to Earth.
