Man Stabs An Eight Year Old Girl On Her Forehead
Anya, who lives at No. 32 Olufunmilayo Street, Joju Road, Ota, is facing a charge of assaulting a minor.

Mr. Anya was arraigned before an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Chudu Gbesi, told the court that the accused allegedly committed the offence at about 2.00 p.m. on March 14 at his residence at No. 32 Olufunmilayo Street, Joju Road, Ota.

Gbesi said that the accused allegedly assaulted the eight-year-old girl by using spoon on her forehead, which gave her bruises.
He said that it was the noise of the girl that alerted neighbours who reported the matter to the police.
Gbesi said that the offence contravened Section 355 of the Criminal Code Vol. 11, Law of Ogun, 2006.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Senior Magistrate, Mr S.O. Banwo, granted the accused N50,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjournedthe case until April 6 for hearing.
