Sanusi reportedly prepares for legal tussle over planned removal as emir
Emerging reports say that Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II has reportedly hired prominent lawyers to prevent his removal from his position as monarch.

The reports also claim that the legal team are already working on legal applications that are set to be filed in Kano High Court today, Wednesday, May 11.
The lawyers are:
1. Lateef Fagbemi (SAN)
2. Kola Awodein (SAN)
3. A.B Mahmoud (SAN) president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA)
4. Other top counsels who are yet to be named
Meanwhile the emir’s decision to send his daughter to represent him at the #BringBackOurGirls programme has been criticized by Alhaji Ibrahim Gama who is representing Nasarawa local government who says it had not happened in the tradition of the emirate before.
