It has been revealed that the President and the leader of the APC, Buhari, who appointed the party Chieftain, Tinubu to head a reconciliation committee, asked John Oyegun, the party chairman, to ignore Tinubu who claimed in a letter that Oyegun was frustrating his efforts .

According to the source, Buhari did this to avoid further rift as the leaked letter Tinubu wrote has already brought embarrassement to the party.  The letter, entitled, ‘Actions and conduct weakening the party from within’, was also copied President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President Bukola Saraki, and House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara.
