Aiyedatiwa's Bold Move: Work-Free Friday Announced Amidst Ondo Polls

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has proclaimed Friday, January 17, 2025, a work-free day ahead of the state's Local Government election, which is set on Saturday.

According to a statement published on Thursday by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, the decision allows state residents to vote in the LG elections.

"The Ondo State Government has proclaimed Friday, January 17, 2025, as a work-free day for public personnel in the state, allowing them to travel to their respective villages to carry out their civic duties.

"Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa urges all stakeholders to ensure a free, fair and peaceful local government election across the state," according to the announcement.
