Surprising Revelations: Trump's Alleged Order for Wike's Arrest Explained

President Donald Trump has been acting decisively ever since he took office on Monday, January 20, 2025.
The Trump administration has authorized law enforcement officials to detain those who are considered illegal immigrants, which is one of the most notable developments from the United States (US) to date.
But according to social media posts, the new US president ordered Nyesom Wike, a senior Nigerian minister, to be arrested.

USA: New York According to Facebook posts that went viral in Nigeria, Nyesom Wike, the current minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been ordered to be arrested by US President Donald Trump.

A leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Wike previously served as the governor of Rivers State in south-south Nigeria. Nigeria's capital and seat of government is the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), which Wike currently oversees.

"Trump orders Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to arrest ‘Wike’ on sight in any European country, including France, over alleged crimes committed during the 2023 election."

In addition to enforcing federal law, the FBI is a U.S. agency that looks into a wide range of criminal behavior, including serious crimes, cybercrime, terrorism, white-collar crimes, public corruption, and civil rights violations.

No evidence on claim about Wike

There were no media reports about Trump issuing such an order, according to Dorotv.com. A statement of this magnitude from Trump associated with a prominent Nigerian politician is unlikely to go unreported by the world's media. Trump's social media pages, particularly Truth Social, where he is highly engaged, make no reference to the alleged order.

The allegation that Trump has directed the FBI to arrest Wike is unsupported by any proof. The assertion is untrue.

Wike urges Nigerians to stay calm

Wike had urged Nigerians to exercise patience and composure despite the nation's current economic challenges. Wike emphasized that the improvement of the country is the primary goal of President Bola Tinubu's initiatives.
