On Tuesday, the FOB Escravos located and shut down three illicit refinery facilities in the Omadinho Community's Obodo.

About 2,600 liters of unlawfully refined automotive gasoline oil (AGO) and 3,700 liters of stolen crude oil were found at the sites. According to Okoloagu, the goods were kept in 33 polythene sacks, 12 excavated trenches, and five ovens.

As part of the ongoing Operation DELTA SANITY II, which attempts to stop oil theft and illicit refining activities in the Niger Delta, the Navy commander credited credible intelligence with the operation's success.
He said that 2,600 liters of unlawfully refined Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO) and about 3,700 liters of stolen crude oil were kept in 33 polythene sacks, 12 dugout pits, and five ovens at the illegal refining locations.

As part of the ongoing Operation DELTA SANITY II, which attempts to stop oil theft and illicit refining activities in the Niger Delta, the Navy commander credited credible intelligence with the operation's success.
- Okoloagu reaffirmed the Nigerian Navy’s commitment to enforcing the Strategic Directives of the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, which prioritizes eradicating illegalities in Nigeria’s maritime space.
- He said the Navy is committed to ensuring that Nigerian waters and communities are rid of illegal refining activities.
- He warned saboteurs in the oil sector to desist, as anyone caught will be prosecuted accordingly.
- This operation comes just days after the Nigerian Navy deactivated four illegal refining sites in the same community last Wednesday.
- Okoloagu assured that security forces would continue to monitor and disrupt illegal oil operations, ensuring that perpetrators do not operate freely in Nigeria’s oil-producing areas.

- The war on crude oil theft is rife in the Niger Delta region with all armed forces and contracted private security outfits. Experts say the government must reduce oil theft and pipeline vandalism to the nearest minimum for Nigeria’s oil output to grow.
