Theft of NSA Official's Car Sparks Security Scare During Abuja's Friday Prayers
The disappearance of a black Toyota Hilux belonging to Nuhu Ribadu, the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), has prompted the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command to launch a comprehensive inquiry.

According to reports, the car was taken on Friday in Abuja when an ONSA officer was at Juma'at prayers.

Insiders say the car was parked in Area 10, right across from the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) compound, at approximately 1:05 p.m.

The official had gotten out of the car to attend prayers at a mosque in the area. But when they got back, they couldn't find the car.

The FCT Police began a citywide stop-and-search operation after receiving the report, sending police to many checkpoints along the capital's main entry and exit routes.

A coordinated investigation is still underway, according to police authorities who confirmed the occurrence.

Right now, efforts are concentrated on finding the lost car and apprehending the criminals.
