How I escaped an armed robbery attempt in Lagos, by Adeniyi Johnson

After three armed guys encircled his car and attempted to smash the windshield and take off the side mirrors, actor Adeniyi Johnson has described how he just avoided a robbery attempt in Lagos.

Johnson described the incident as happening when he had to maneuver around two trailers that took up the full road.

Johnson said in an Instagram post that his fast thinking and attentiveness had saved him from possible harm.

All these happened because of two ‘mumu’ trailers with smoke occupying the whole road and not driving on their lanes! While looking for a way to manoeuvre and overtake, I fell victim. He posted a video showing the damage to his vehicle and advised others to exercise caution, particularly in places where these kinds of accidents are common.


He went on to say that this is the second time this year that he has encountered a robbery attempt, the first being in April.


He conveyed appreciation for his safety and cautioned others to exercise caution when driving in Lagos.
