Discover Leaders Transforming People Management at BLIM and Ideas House

Ideas House, a well-known marketing firm, and Business Leadership & Innovation Management (BLIM), a rapidly growing career and leadership institute, are looking for thought leaders who are significantly influencing people management.

On March 25 of this year, the two organizations will collaborate to hold the first-ever World Managers Appreciation Day (WMAD). The purpose of the day is to honor managers who have continuously demonstrated a preference for developing young talent and putting them on the path to success in their next stage of development.

Both organizations have planned a number of events to commemorate the first edition, one of which is an actionable roundtable discussion on the subject of "Becoming a Great and Impactful Manager of People."

Emmanuel Agu, a marketing and leadership consultant; Kehinde Salami, a leadership expert; Abiodun Ajiborode, a business and career coach; Alex Goma, a business and leadership consultant; and Enobong Ezekiel, general manager, strategy and general performance, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) are among the most prominent business and leadership experts who will be participating in the virtual session.

Ajiborode clarified, "WMAD is an initiative that recognizes and celebrates outstanding managers who have demonstrated very commendable traits in nurturing talents committed to them." She added that WMAD was created to address the long-overdue neglect of these charismatic managers in the corporate setting.

"We are starting this from Nigeria, just like every other concept out there started with an idea, but we anticipate this to become a global movement in the near future," Ajiborode continued, adding that government institutions and corporate brands were welcome to adopt the idea and celebrate the day in their offices.

The CEO of Ideas House Limited, Kehinde Salami, pointed out that while the corporate calendar was full of events honoring important figures in the business sector, none of them were devoted to honoring influential line managers who are in charge of leading their teams, formulating strategic plans, and producing organizational outcomes.

He claims that this tendency will be reversed as March 25 of each year will now be dedicated to honoring these unsung heroes.

In an effort to honor and celebrate their influence on their careers, staff members can purchase gift items for their current or former managers on the WMAD website as part of celebrations for the first edition.
