Tragic Lightning Strike Claims Lives in Kaduna: Herder & Livestock Lost
Lightning Strike Reportedly Kills Herder, 12 Cows In Kaduna Community
According to reports, a young herder and twelve cows were killed in an alightning strike in Matuak Giwa, Bondon District, Moro'a Chiefdom, which is situated in Kaura Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

Simon Ayuba, the village head of Matuak Giwa, confirmed the horrific event on Monday, saying that the herder had been taking cover from the rain with his cattle when the lightning struck, instantly killing them.

Twelve cows and the herder perished instantly. Ayuba was reported by PUNCH as saying, "It was a tragic event that has left the community in shock."

The slain herder was from Bauchi State, according to Tanko Isiyaka, the Ardo of Bondon District, who also reportedly confirmed the occurrence.

Isiyaka requested for prayers and solidarity for the bereaved family, expressing her profound sadness at the loss.

It was said that the victim was buried according to Islamic customs.
