The Nigeria Police Force has directed all 80 Mobile Police (MOPOL) Squadrons to reactivate local training for march-past exercises.
The squadrons are obliged to form units of trained parade personnel adept in all sorts of march pasts and parades, including advance exercises, bare parades, burial rituals, and wedding ceremonies within the NPF/MOPOL framework.
This command, delivered by a wireless message to MOPOLS 1-80, shows unhappiness with the inadequate performance of MOPOL personnel during the march-past at the just finished Police Day event at Eagle Square.

The AIG emphasized that trained parade units must be prepared because they could be called upon for parades at any time, and he warned Squadron Commanders to firmly follow the instruction.
To guarantee complete distribution and execution, the notification was also forwarded to important authorities, such as the Department of Operations at Force Headquarters and the Inspector General of Police.
The message, which was titled "CE:2250/DOPS/PMF/FHQ/ABJ/VOL.21/20 Training Programme," stated: "AIGPOL MOPOL was shocked by the poor performance of MOPOL troops during the match-past at the recently finished Police Day celebration at Eagle Square.
Therefore, you are instructed to resume local training at your squadron in order to ensure that you are conversant with the various match-past/parades, such as advance drill, bare, funeral, and wedding within NPF/MOPOL.
