Ex-Soldier Abbakar Affan Threatens VeryDarkMan ‘Like Deborah Samuel’

Martins Vincent Otse, a social media influencer known as VeryDarkMan, was threatened with death on Friday by Abbakar Affan, whose social media accounts indicate that he served in the Nigerian Army, if he "commits what Deborah did in Sokoto State."
A group of disruptive students and Islamic radicals at the Shehu Shagari College of Education openly stoned and burned Deborah Samuel to death on May 12, 2022, after she was accused of blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on a WhatsApp group.
In Uromi, Edo State, sixteen men who were recognized as northern hunters were recently burned alive. Nationwide indignation and calls for justice followed their killings.
In a same spirit, Otse reminded the public on Friday that justice must be served in Deborah Samuel's case.

A peep into his X profile showed that he spent four years in the northeast with Nigerian troops combating Boko Haram terrorists.
Boko Haram and ISIS terrorists got recruits by twisting and manipulating Islam, Affan said in an article posted by Strike Source, a security news website. The website was unsafe at press time because its secure site lock (SSL) certificate had expired.
Nigerians from nearby nations who speak Kanuri make up a large portion of their [ISIS] recruitment. They use the lack of education and misrepresent the verses of the Koran. Strike Source cited Affan as saying, "They use a faith as a weapon, telling them that the military is the enemy because they don't follow their version of Islam and that we are pagans."
He announced his resignation from the army on March 19.
