Eniola Badmus speaks after viral clash with Laide Bakare, calls for unity in Nollywood

After a viral argument with fellow actress Laide Bakare at a recent film premiere, actress Eniola Badmus has spoken out, calling on her fellow Nollywood professionals to embrace harmony and peace.

In an emotional Instagram post, Badmus urged industry participants to put aside rivalry and animosity, emphasizing that there is space for everyone to thrive.


"Envy is unnecessary—one person's success does not diminish another's," she wrote.

Noting that when artists help one another, they all soar higher together, the actress urged cooperation, respect, and support among coworkers.

She also suggested that avoiding conflict is a sign of wisdom rather than weakness. “Peace is the path to progress, and love should always be our guiding light,” she added.

Badmus wrote: “Life has a way of teaching us that true strength lies not in conflict, but in unity. Even though our paths may have diverged and we may have experienced conflict, I think it's time to allow love take the lead.

"When we can all prosper, jealousy is unnecessary. My achievement does not take away from yours, and yours does not take away from mine. Let's keep working together, supporting one another, and creating something bigger than we could ever do on our own. Unity is strong, and the future is more promising than any triumph we've achieved on our own.

"We should steer clear of fighting because we are clever, not weak. Love is the light that guides us, and peace is the way forward.
