Why RMD Thinks Being Called a Legend Is a Scam
Richard Mofe-Damijo, better known by his stage name RMD, is a veteran Nollywood actor who has explained why he dislikes being called a legend.

Speaking on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, RMD labeled being referred to as a legend a "scam."

He cited seasoned performers like Pete Edochie and Olu Jacobs as legends, but clarified that he does not consider himself one.

"I think the legend of a thing is a scam," RMD added, expressing his disapproval of such a title. Our forebears and legends are Uncle Pete and Uncle Olu Jacobs, two of my legends.

"When Olu Jacobs stated that Ribena children are the healthy ones, I was observing him. Therefore, I don't agree with being referred to as a legend, and when they do, I get the impression that they're attempting to put me in the company of retirees or those who are almost retired.

The 63-year-old actor was born in the Delta and started performing in 1982.
