Crowning Glory: Nollywood Star Okey Bakassi Becomes King in Imo State

Popular Nollywood actor and comedian, Okey Bakassi, has been proclaimed the king of the Umuihuocha village in Imo State.

In a video he posted on Tuesday, Okey Bakassi's kinsmen formally introduced him as the traditional leader of the Umuihuocha Autonomous Community in Mbaise.

A magnificent celebration of Igbo culture and custom took place during the coronation of the actor who is now known as "His Royal Highness Eze Okechukwu Onyegbule, the Okwe II of Umuihuocha Obohia."

On his Instagram page, Okey Bakassi posted the ceremony's video along with the caption, "Special presentation as king (Eze) of Umuihuocha community."

DoroTV reports that Bakassi’s coronation came barely two weeks after he announced his appointment as the traditional ruler.
