Nigeria: A PDP Senator sacked
The difference between the APC and the PDP will continue to increase if this trend of sacking PDP politicians by appeal courts continue. The latest politician to receive the whip is Senator Bashir Marafa representing Taraba Central Senatorial District of Adamawa state. He was sacked by a Court of Appeal sitting in Yola, the state capital. Delivering judgement in an appeal filed by Senator Bashir Marafa and PDP today November 17th, the presiding judge upheld the ruling of the Taraba state election tribunal on September 30th that nullified Marafa's victory and ordered INEC to issue a certificate of return to APC candidate, Yusuf Abubakar.
