Benin Republic takes over 16 Nigerian villages

Nigeria is not yet at war with neighbouring Benin Republic, but tension is rising in Okuta, the border town in Baruten local government area of Kwara state. Benin Republic has reportedly taken over 16 villages, hoisting their flags and setting up police stations. The affected Nigeria villages invaded and annexed by the Benin Republic include Ogomne, Bwin, Gandasunon, Kpuru, Woru Wuren Kparu, Ajuba,1, Ajuba 2, Saka Yeruman Kparu,Monta, Dotin Kparu,Halidun Kparu, Yakubun Kparu, Sonsi,Gunosani, Alhaji Kparu,Yodo Mankparu and Simen Kparu.
