Wike Thanks the Judiciary - Says they are the only Hope for Nigeria

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike stated that the Judiciary is the only hope for the country. "If the judiciary crumbles the nation is gone," he said. He was sacked by an election petition tribunal but was reinstated by a Supreme Court verdict. The rival from APC accepted the verdict.

Speaking when the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led by the Acting National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus paid him a congratulatory visit on Thursday, January 28, at the Government House, Port Harcourt. Governor Wike said that the Supreme Court passed judgment based on the constitution, while the lower courts aired opinions in the Rivers State Governorship election.
