Sani stated this when he paid a solidarity visit to Abdulkadir in Abuja.

"As far as I’m concerned I believe the action taken against you is political and remains political. And I also believe that your house was demolished because of your firm resolve in seeing that the party is run according to its Constitution and the laws to which it was established.

I believe you were victimized because you remain firm and resolute in your assignment as one of the National officers of the party to ensure that there is a level playing ground for everyone and to ensure that everyone act within the ambit of country's laws and that of our party.

"But most importantly, I believe your house was demolished because of me. Today everyone knows the efforts you've put in place over the years in finding solution to the crisis that has bedeviled the party in different states within your zone and members of the party appreciate this.

“I feel responsible for what happened to you because if you have done the bidding or turn yourself to a stooge of those who want you to subvert the rules of law, your house wouldn't have been demolished.

"It is very unfortunate that people who call themselves democrats find it difficult to stomach criticism and stomach alternative views.

“As a party that offer an alternative to Nigerians, we me must demonstrate our tolerant for critiscm, we must demonstrate our tolerant for opposing views and we must show by example that we are genuine Democrats, "he said.

Responding Abdulkadir said the demolition of the house won't stop him from discharging his duties in line with party's Constitution.

"This matter is before the court so like I told others I don't intend to dwell on the subject matter. But at the same time without prejudice will like to assure not only you but all other party members and Nigerians who have faith in democracy who embrace the principle of justice that this singular act will no way move me an inch from my principle position of discharging my responsibility as the leader of the party in the zone.
