Kehinde Bankole Stars in Nollywood's Top Grossing Movie: 2024 Highlights

With an outstanding body of work, renowned Nollywood actress Kehinde Bankole continues to leave her mark on the industry. Her performance as Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti in Bolanle Austen-Peters' biopic, which made N156.6 million in Nigerian theaters before going live on Prime Video, garnered her a lot of praise in 2024.

For her performance in the film Adire, she won the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards' (AMVCA) Best Lead Actress prize.

With prominent appearances in Prophetess and Desperate Housewives Africa, Bankole's career, which started in the early 2000s with Super Story, has spanned more than 20 years. She just achieved a major professional milestone when she was cast as Moremi in the Disney animated series Kizazi Moto.
