Rejoice, book lovers: Alexander Emmanuel’s fifth masterpiece, ‘Edge of the Sun’, is almost here!

Renowned author, strategist and peace campaigner, Squadron Leader Alexander Emmanuel, PhD, is about to release his highly anticipated fifth book, Edge of the Sun. Known for his stunning storytelling and deep investigation of human resilience, Alexander once again creates a fascinating novel that is guaranteed to fascinate readers.

The lively town of Bodo, located along the tranquil banks of the Obunda River in South Southern Nigeria, serves as the setting for the coming-of-age novel Edge of the Sun. The narrative traces the entwined lives of Jaja and Sim, two irascible young people whose mishaps and careless decisions set them on an unanticipated course toward self-discovery, atonement, and purpose-seeking.

The novel examines the difficulties of pursuing a better future while escaping the shadows of the past through themes of growth, forgiveness, and the allure of one's roots.

At 10 AM on April 19, 2025, the book will be launched at the Banquet Hall of the NAF Mess & Suites in Kado, Abuja. The event will also mark the formal start of We Are Us, a movement dedicated to establishing safe communities for boys.

Alexander, a renowned Chevening alumnus and the 2018 USAID Hackathon on Counter Violent Extremism winner, infuses his writing with his love for justice and his extensive experiences in conflict areas. Scarlet and Omo are two of his earlier works that have been widely used in secondary and tertiary educational institutions in Nigeria.
