His family dispute first generated a lot of online discussion, and now people are calling attention to several shortcomings in his work.

Nigerian internet critic VeryDarkMan explained why he believes Asake has changed from who he once was.

Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, is a Nigerian social media critic who has offered his opinion on Asake's present position in the music business.

Remember that Asake has been in the headlines for a few incorrect reasons ever since he left Olamide's record company, YBNL? His father's family problem hasn't helped either, and rumors are starting to circulate.

VDM reacts to Asake's career status

VDM clarified the situation by reiterating on TikTok that Asake has changed after leaving his previous boss' label. The musician, who often holds the top slots on streaming services, has been having trouble getting his song to the top of the charts, he said.

The artist said that his family problem was a "planned scandal" that was intended to temporarily put him in the spotlight and restart his career.

Verydarkman, who consistently jumps in on every current topic, has previously discussed his phone chat with the attorney for gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and the reasons why she and Eezee Tee must reach an out-of-court settlement.

To support his argument, the social media critic cited a list of singers who had problems with their label boss and how those difficulties worked out for them.

Reactions to Verydarkman's latest video were triggered as online users expressed their thoughts regarding past musicians who were well-known before they had a falling out with their former label boss.
