Wike's Secret: How He Persuaded Tinubu on FCT Policy
Tinubu: How Wike convinced me to remove FCT from treasury single account
In order to accelerate development and improve resident engagement in governance, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described how Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike persuaded him to withdraw the country's capital administration from the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

When Wike led a group of Abuja citizens on a sallah visit to the State House in Abuja on Sunday, Tinubu gave a speech.

The president claimed that the TSA's bureaucracy was impeding the capital city's infrastructure development and that it needed to be examined for effects and advancements.

According to him, the FCT's liberation from TSA limitations has "swiftly catalyzed" improvements in healthcare, infrastructure, and security.

He praised the FCT minister for demonstrating the need for bureaucratic reform and for reorganizing the public sector to allow civil servants to pursue leadership roles and higher positions.

"Without the progressive ideas you brought to FCT, we wouldn't have been able to open our mouths to celebrate." The president declared, "We can now celebrate the innovative ideas brought to the FCT."

Tinubu advised Nigerians, including those living in the Federal Capital Territory, to prioritize outcomes over ethnicity and religion when choosing leaders.

We live in peace now, and security is getting better. There will be hunger soon. The cost of food is declining. We can conduct business at the market. Additionally, we are growing more diverse and self-assured," he continued.

"Magic is not what we are seeking. We want outcomes. Comfort is what we seek. Our prayers are for health. We are seeking a caring individual.

"Everyone is involved in the job, not only Wike or me. Nigeria's variety is demonstrated by Nyesom Wike. By demonstrating that we are all members of the same family, sharing a home, different rooms, and a roof, he reaffirmed the idea that diversity fosters success.

President Tinubu called for greater patriotism, tolerance, and open-mindedness.

"Tolerance, which has gotten us this far, is all I ask for. Ramadan has taught us a few things. "May the lessons stay with us," he remarked.
