Odumodu’s hit song, Declan Rice, soars 200% after footballer’s Champions League performance
The play of Arsenal's midfielder, Declan Rice, in the UEFA Champions League, according to well-known Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, commonly known as Odumodu Black, caused his hit song, Declan Rice, to see a 200% boost in streaming.

On Wednesday evening, the musician announced this on his official X (formerly Twitter) profile.

“Declan Rice went 200% o’ streams yesterday,” he wrote. Make una go sing o, a football player's name.

According to DoroTV, Rice, the English midfielder who inspired the song, was chosen "Man of the Match" for his outstanding performance during Tuesday's match between Arsenal and Real Madrid.

This has led to a significant boost in the song's stream count.

Released in 2023, Odumodu-Declan Rice's hit song has been a triumph, winning accolades such as the Headies' Rap Song of the Year award.

Since then, the rapper has been at an all-time high because the song was utilized to reveal the football player who had just signed a contract with Arsenal. Shortly after releasing a 16-track album, the Nigerian musician was also given the 2024 Leadership Artist of the Year Award.

Additionally, Odumodu has eight nominations for the 17th Headies award in several categories.
