Bomb blast: Senator Ndume visits victims at hospital, offers financial support
Borno South Senatorial District Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume visited the victims of the recent bombing along the Maiduguri-Damboa Road on Sunday to offer condolences.

The lawmaker paid a visit to patients at Maiduguri's State Specialists Hospital who are presently undergoing treatment for a variety of injuries. Most of the victims are members of his constituency.

The tragic incident, which occurred last Saturday at about 11:30 am, was reportedly carried out by suspected Boko Haram insurgents who planted Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) along the route. The attack claimed several lives and left many injured.

Accompanied by key stakeholders from Borno South, Senator Ndume voiced great concern about the return of such murderous attacks in the region.

He reiterated his commitment to making sure the issue gets immediate government action while speaking with victims and their families.

This serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the ongoing security threats we must contend with. Nonetheless, the government is making every effort to secure our neighborhoods and stop similar incidents in the future.

"I want to thank Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for visiting the victims at the hospital's treatment units after ordering them to receive free medical care.

"We pray for their souls to have Aljanatul Firdaus, and I want to use this opportunity to sympathize with the families of those who lost their lives in the incident," Ndume said.

The Senator provided financial support to all victims during the sympathy visit, including other patients hospitalized to the facility's male and female wards.
