Why Farotimi Stands by Peter Obi for 2027: A Deep Dive

According to human rights attorney Dele Farotimi, if Peter Obi runs for president in 2027, he will still back him.
However, Farotimi characterized the initial conversations regarding the 2027 elections as a diversion.
He made this claim when he appeared on Sunday Politics on DOROTV.
"Unless someone else runs who I think can do better, I would vote for Peter Gregory Obi if elections were held today where our votes would be counted.
"I will undoubtedly vote for Peter Obi if the lineup remains the same as it was the last time.
He stated, "I hope he will be a little bolder with his policy platforms, but honestly, there is no one else I would support in terms of capacity and integrity."

"It would take something very important to change my mind," Farotimi stated.
"It would take something extraordinary for me to decide not to support Peter Obi," he continued. It is conceivable that he is associated with some undesirable people who I find intolerable. But there is no one else outside of that.
Additionally, he criticized the hasty focus on the next elections, arguing that the nation is not prepared for such conversations.
"We really cannot talk about elections in our current situation, so I really think our conversations about them at this point are a disservice to ourselves," he stated.
He stated that his desire for a better Nigeria is what motivates him to keep supporting Obi.
