The truth about Obasanjo's exit from PDP

Many saw this exit from PDP coming as relationship between the former president Olusegun Obasanjo and the incumbent, Good luck Ebele Jonathan deteriorated. Obasanjo is a man whose ego will not let him stay under Jonathan. He was reported to have ordered his ward chairman to tear his PDP membership card in front of the camera.
PDP in his state then decided to expel the man who had already quit the party. Obasanjo declared that he was done with partisan politics, but that was after his relevancy in party was gone. Seun Kuti wrote some lines accusing him of jailing and killing some of his ancestors, and assuring him that party exit doesn't change the man.
The military also labelled him a disgrace for some accusations he has been making. It is very clear that Obasanjo wan s to remain relevance, and non partisan politics could offer him that.
Obasanjo has therefore chosen a platform to best sell himself, that is the truth about his exit.
