Trump to issue travel ban on 22 African countries [Full list]
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, is thinking of banning travel to nearly half of Africa.

African nations make up the majority of the 43 countries on the shortlist.

The New York Times obtained an internal Trump proposal that enumerates countries whose nationals may be prohibited from visiting the United States.

African nations classified as "Red" (all travel is prohibited) include Somalia, Libya, and Sudan.

South Sudan, Sierra Leone, and Eritrea are under "Orange," which has severely restricted permits.

Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, The Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, São Tomé and Príncipe, Zimbabwe, and the Republic of Congo are among the countries under "Yellow," which is given 60 days to remedy issues.

The move harks back to President Donald Trump’s first-term ban on travellers from seven majority-Muslim nations, a policy that went through several iterations before being upheld by the Supreme Court in 2018.
