15 People are dead from the Kano bomb blast

A bomb exploded in Kano yesterday, 18th November and killed at least 15 people, with many more injured. This happened in Kano GSM market . Two female suicide bombers walked into the populated market and detonated bombs strapped on them. The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Katsina, who confirmed the number of casualties, said 10 people died on the spot while 5 others died at the hospital. 57 others are said to be critically injured.

The President released a statement yesterday where he asked residents not to lose hope. 

Buhari also called on the people to have “confidence in the ability of Nigeria’s reinvigorated, well-equipped and well-motivated Armed Forces and security agencies to overcome Boko Haram very soon”.
