CORONAVIRUS: President Trump Reveals He Has Been Tested & Is Awaiting Results

President Donald Trump has been tested for the coronavirus and is awaiting results, he said Saturday at a press briefing, a day after he declared the coronavirus pandemic to be a national emergency.

The president has had multiple direct and indirect contact with people who have tested positive for the pandemic virus. Test results typically take at least 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the president said the U.S. is extending its Europe travel ban to cover the United Kingdom and Ireland so that residents of those countries will not be allowed to travel here for 30 days beginning Monday.

At least 50 people have died in the U.S., where there have been more than 2,100 confirmed cases of the virus. Worldwide, cases were nearing 150,000 on Saturday with more than 5,500 deaths.
