PDP Crisis: Fubara Makes Notable Promise to Wike's Top Rival Bala Mohammed, Details Emerge

Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers state, has stated that he is prepared to take strong and decisive action in the aftermath of his protracted conflict with current FCT minister Nyesom Wike.

Speaking on Saturday night, January 25, Fubara paid a condolence visit to Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi state.

According to Dorotv, Senator Mohammed is a fierce opponent of Wike, the predecessor of Governor Fubara, and both are PDP leaders.

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara visited Senator Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State to offer his condolences to him and his family on the death of his stepmother, Hajia Hauwa Mohammed, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to Fubara, the visit gave the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a chance to discuss concerns even though the main goal was to show sympathy for Governor Mohammed.

According to Vanguard on Sunday, January 26, Fubara declared his intention to cooperate amicably with the chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum, despite the recent attacks and counterattacks between Governor Mohammed and Nyesom Wike, the minister of the federal capital territory (FCT). The top Rivers resident revealed that he is prepared to collaborate with Mohammed in order to steer the PDP in the proper way.

Similarly, Fubara promised Mohammed that River will work to improve the two-way relationship between Bauchi and the oil-rich state.
