Eviction Showdown: Fubara vs. Amaewhule in 7-Day Standoff!

The governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, has been given a seven-day ultimatum by the Initiative for Transparent Strategy and Good Leadership (ITSGL) to remove the 27 troubled state lawmakers from the government quarters they now inhabit.
Chizy Enyi Esq., the President General of the ITSGL, issued the directive in Port Harcourt on Thursday at a chart with state media representatives over the state's ongoing political turmoil.
Enyi claimed that MPs who defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) are not doing well.

He urged the governor to expel Martin Amaewhule and others from the assembly quarters within seven days, saying they had lost their seats and should go.
He stated: "Martin Amaewhule and others lost their legitimacy as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly as provided by section 109 of the 1999 constitution as amended after they began an action against the Rivers State Government, National Assembly, and orders between October and November 2023 and switched from the PDP to the APC on December 11, 2023."
The legitimacy of Martin Amaewhule and other members of the Rivers State House of Assembly was not the issue that Justice Omotosho was considering. What would have been the National Assembly's responsibility if it had been a party to the lawsuit?

The governor of Rivers State's decision to permit the former members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Martin Amaewhule, to remain occupying the State Assembly's property has angered us as members of the Initiative for Transparent Strategy and Good Leadership.
"Therefore, we are giving the government and Rivers State Governor Sir Sim Fubara a week's notice to promptly remove all unauthorized occupants from Assembly properties or risk legal action."
